Tti CEO Hamed K. Lateef Addresses Halal Summit 2026
Testing as the foundation of Pakistan's halal export growth

Hamed K. Lateef, Founder and CEO of Tti Testing Laboratories, spoke at the Halal Summit 2026 in Lahore. His message: testing is the foundation of halal compliance, and compliance earns Pakistan recognition and better prices in global markets.
Testing is the foundation
Pakistan is a 96% Muslim nation, and halal is a need for every Muslim. It is also a gateway to a multi-trillion-dollar global economy.
Mr Lateef brings 31 years of experience in analytical testing. He argued that testing drives compliance with international standards, and that compliance earns Pakistan recognition and better prices.
In his view, testing is not a regulatory hurdle. It is the basis for growth. With the right steps, halal food and pharmaceutical exports alone could add USD 3–4 billion to Pakistan's economy within two years.

Government and laboratories working together
The summit brought together leaders from the Punjab Food Safety & Consumer Protection Department, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), PSQCA, PNAC, PHA, PAFDA, PCSIR and PAMCO.
Tti Labs values their leadership. Governance and laboratory science, working together, are how Pakistan reaches this goal.
