SAWiE Ecosystems Visits the Tti Labs GMO Testing Lab

Tti Labs is now an OCA-approved laboratory for GMO and pesticide residue testing on cotton

Tti Labs hosted Dr Khalid Mahmood of SAWiE Ecosystems at its GMO Testing Lab. The visit followed a milestone for Tti Labs: acceptance as an OCA-approved laboratory for GMO testing and pesticide residue analysis on cotton.

OCA approval for cotton testing

The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) has accepted Tti Labs as an approved laboratory for two tests on cotton: GMO testing and pesticide residue analysis.

Both tests support credible, transparent and responsible sourcing of organic cotton.

Traceability from the farm

SAWiE runs a digital traceability system for farmers. It traces organic cotton from the farm onwards.

Tti Labs and SAWiE plan to work together. The partnership will combine traceability, laboratory testing and sustainable farming practice for Pakistan's cotton sector.
